The world-famous suspension railway and the zoo have so far been the tourist highlights of Wuppertal. The Bundesgartenschau 2031 is intended to permanently add two further attractions to these: a cable car across the zoo to the Königshöhe and a spectacular hanging rope bridge over the Wupperpforte.
On 52 pages the report which was updated and expanded for the 2017/18 season, includes lineups of the 100 largest ski areas with regard to the vertical transport capacity, length of the runs in kilometers, extent in square kilometers, vertical drop, longest runs and also the skier visits.
Various options were available for the modernization of the Turmbergbahn and its connection to the tram network of the city of Karlsruhe. Montenius Consult prepared a visitor forecast for the preferred options identified in a technical feasibility study.
The "Kur- und Verkehrsbetriebe AG Oberstdorf" operates a 6-passenger gondola at the Söllereck all year round, and at its upper terminus the "Berghaus Schönblick" and the "Allgäu Coaster" in the lower terminus area. In winter four additional ski lifts are operated, in summer a climbing forest.
