It would be the most northerly cable car in Germany and an enormous appreciation for the popular tourist resort Tecklenburg in the Teutoburg Forest: A gondola from the old Tecklenburg train station up to the Münsterland view, to the castle ruins with their big festival stage and the historic Old Town.
After more than 15 years of planning the project of connecting the resort of Schierke located in the eastern Harz mountains to the Wurmberg, the largest ski area in the western Harz is now about to be implemented.
The expansion of the Skiarena Silbersattel, the largest ski area in the Thuringian Forest, which was planned since 2008 is scheduled to begin in 2016 at last. Montenius Consult has developed an expansion concept in cooperation with Klenkhart & Partner consulting and Ingenieurbüro Schweiger.
The Skiarena Silbersattel is the largest ski resort in the Thuringian Forest, a famous winter sports region that bred many German winter olympians. Some 15 years after its opening, the ski area is to be developed now for 10 million euros.
Based on a site visit and an analysis of the competitive environment, Montenius Consult created a list of suggestions for possible further leisure activities and concrete recommendations for the future development of the location.
