For the second time ten ski resorts in the Sauerland and Harz mountains used QMF in the 2013/14 season to monitor customer satisfaction. Due to only four days of operation in some cases, the number of visitors fell both in the ski areas as well as on the survey compared to the previous winter.

In December, the ski area will start an all new operation for the 2013/14 season, with a new chairlift, additional runs and for the first time also with guaranteed snow thanks to the new snowmaking system. The ski resort Olpe-Fahlenscheid is the closest ski area to Cologne and numerous towns along the A4 and A45 motorways. However, awareness of this ideal family ski resort in these key source markets is rather low.
The Wurmberg offers the largest and highest ski area in Germany's northernmost mountain range, the Harz. Until December 2012 the Wurmbergseilbahn GmbH & Co. KG plans to invest a total of eight million Euros.
