Expansion of Poiana Brasov ski area

The ski resort Poiana Brasov, located south of Bucharest in the Carpathians, is the most popular ski resort in Romania. For the 2012/13 season, two new chairlifts and a large snowmaking system were built and as a result, the number of visitors increased significantly. Now, the operating company ANA Teleferic is planning a further expansion, which i.a. ten kilometers of new pistes and an access gondola from Rasnov in the Brasov valley.

The engineering planning as well as the estimation of the investments was carried out by the Austrian company Klenkhart & Partner ZT Consulting. Montenius Consult was responsible for the visitor forecast as well as the calculation of the future operating costs and the expected revenues. Another example of the already proven cooperation of the two renowned planning offices.
